Organic food campaign: only 47 percent recognize the Euroleaf label

AMSTERDAM, – The Polish Chamber of Organic Food (PIŻE) launched a campaign on May 18/19 highlighting the growing role of natural and organic ingredients. To kick off the campaign, PIŻE organized exclusive events in Amsterdam on May 18 and 19, focused on organic food, sustainability, and conscious living, with support from the European Union. A key objective is to increase awareness of the Euroleaf label. Only a minority of Dutch consumers recognize this quality mark.

The Polish Chamber of Organic Food (PIŻE) is the official industry organization in Poland dedicated to promoting and developing the organic food sector.

“The European food market is undergoing a fundamental shift,” according to PIŻE. “Consumers are making increasingly conscious choices, prompting producers and retailers to rethink their product ranges and supply chains. Organic food is more than a trend. These products are free from artificial fertilizers, pesticides, and genetically modified organisms (GMOs). It represents a lifestyle that combines respect for nature, care for animals, and a focus on high-quality nutrition.”

Increasing awareness of Euroleaf

PIŻE aims to support the development of the organic food sector in countries such as France and the Netherlands by raising awareness of organically certified products carrying the Euroleaf label. Euroleaf is the official European organic certification label. Research by the Food Research Institute shows that only 47% of Dutch consumers recognize this quality label.

The campaign seeks to demonstrate that organic food stands for quality, authenticity, care for the planet, and a return to nature. PIŻE also aims to strengthen cooperation between organic producers in the Netherlands, France, and Poland.

The campaign positions Poland as a reliable and strategic link within the European agri-food supply chain. The country combines high-quality raw materials with strong production infrastructure and a competitive cost base. As a result, Poland plays an important role in the growth of private label products, particularly within the organic and plant-based segments.
